Can we find content from inside attachments in Atlassian Confluence?

Yes, Confluence can index attachments and will find their content in searches. The following file types are supported:

  • Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx, …)
  • Text (incl. XML)
  • Powerpoint (.ppt, .pptx, …)
  • Excel (.xls, .xslx, …)
  • PDF
  • HTML
